Telescope eye piece adaptor for smartphone

This adapter makes it easy to attach a smartphone (such as my Samsung Galaxy S7) to the eyepiece of my Celestron 114LCM telescope. I'm confident that this adapter works with other smartphones and is likely compatible with various telescopes too. During the day, you can use this adapter as a superzoom for your smartphone. Keep in mind that the image will be reversed! At night, if your smartphone has manual mode (like the "Pro" mode on my S7), you can even capture stunning pictures of the night sky! Don't expect breathtaking sharpness, though – chromatic aberration is quite noticeable... Check out the two last photos to see the full view and a zoomed-in version. To fit your phone onto this adapter, you'll need two rubber bands.
