Telescope Dovetail Picatinny Rail
thingiverse
This is an adapter which mounts onto the dovetail mount commonly used for finder scopes on telescopes, and presents a Picatinny rail onto which you can mount a laser "sight" for a rifle. Laser pointer mounts for a telescope can cost more than $100, are difficult to adjust because they use 3 set screws spaced around the ring, and often not very bright. Laser sights for rifles give you separate vertical ('elevation') and horizontal ('windage') controls, cost more like $20, and may include a remote switch that reduces vibration of the telescope when you turn the laser on. But telescope accessories often use a dovetail mount, while rifle accessories use a Picatinny Rail mount (or the metric version, called the NATO Accessory Rail). This adapter simply lets you mount a rifle laser onto an astronomy telescope.
