The telescope's age was evident in its worn wooden frame and dusty lens, a testament to countless nights spent gazing up at the stars. Its brass fittings were tarnished, but still polished enough to reflect the faint glow of the setting sun. As I lifted it out of storage, a faint scent of wood polish wafted up, transporting me back to my grandfather's study where this very telescope had sat for generations.
