The telephone set, beautifully crafted from wood, was designed to be securely mounted on a wall. At the front of its housing, an ebonite microphone was cleverly attached, while a trumpet-shaped earpiece was rigidly secured to the forks located on the left side of the casing. Two convenient clamps were positioned on the side for holding wires that carried the telephone signal. Created in 1889, in Kraków, this remarkable device was brought into being by Stanisław Freund. The inventory number assigned to it is 4891; 896/V. This significant artifact can be found at the Jagiellonian University Museum Collegium Maius.
