Telemark ski binding V1 for Dynafit radical
thingiverse
I'm excited to share my tried-and-tested telemark ski touring binding, which has been put through its paces over two winters and is fully compatible with the "Dynafit Radical" front pins binding unit. The removable telemark cable makes it perfect for lightweight ski touring practices. To build this binding, you'll need: * Dynafit "Radical" front units * Dynafit "Superlite" crampon holders * Dynafit ski crampons * Voilé switchback climbing wires * Voilé hardwide rods (short size) * Cartbridge sets from Voilé or Rottefella (I prefer the blue color) You'll also need to gather: * 4 M3 BTR 12mm screws and nuts for the ski crampon holder * 4 M3 8mm washers * 4 M3 BTR 16mm screws and nuts for the ski crampon shim Additionally, you'll require: * 2 M5 65mm screws and Nylstop nuts * 4 M5 16mm washers * Use alpine screws to secure the front binding unit and three telemark screws (20mm total length) around the transverse axis hole. Special metal parts include: * 4 metal inserts (for connecting rods), which can be sourced from old Silvretta fixed ski crampon "mushrooms." I've also launched a small production of titanium inserts, available for request at ski.fermier@gmail.com When it comes to plastic pieces, I recommend printing them with nylon and using flexible filament for the plugs covering screws. Finish with hot wax. With an impressive weight of 490g per pair (all included), this binding is perfect for uphill skiing. I use F1 or F3 Scarpa ski boots to achieve a downhill feeling similar to the BD01. I hope you'll enjoy this binding as much as I do!
