Telegraph Machine Invt. # NMM/BO/2099 Dimensions: Height 116 cm, base diameter 31 cm, dial diameter 26 cm Material: Cast iron, brass, glass Origin: CMM Underwater Research Creation Date: 1890 Description: The telegraph machine has a cast, round column. The dial of the telegraph with an indicator, scale-free, in white-gray color. Broken lens. A container is attached to the rear of the case, which stored the kerosene lamp illuminating the telegraph dial at night. This artifact was obtained as part of underwater archaeological research on the wreck W-35, which is the remains of the steamship "Margarete", built in Szczecin in 1890. The ship served for coastal navigation between Königsberg and Szczecin. Sunk on October 4, 1915, near Stilo, by the British submarine "E-8".
