TELEDYNE Big Beam vintage flashlight switch cover mold
thingiverse
Description: These molds are designed specifically for making a silicone cover that fits the switch of TELEDYNE Big Beam series vintage flashlights. The Big Beam flashlights were manufactured decades ago and have proven to be heavy-duty, but their rubber switch covers have deteriorated significantly today and are no longer available for purchase. I created a mold to replicate the original switch cover using RTV silicone sealant. This will ensure that your flashlight continues to function for years to come. The OpenSCAD source code is included, allowing you to customize the design as needed. Apply a lacquer-paint coating to the mold surface to extend its lifespan. 3. Coat every mold surface with soap water or oil wax, then let it dry completely. 4. Combine the molds. 5. Fill the top inlet of the mold with RTV silicone sealant. 6. Allow the mixture to cure for one or more days. 7. Open the mold and harvest your new silicone cover, then trim it as needed. 8. Repeat steps 3-7 if additional coats are required.
