In 2010 Ed Hawley posted dxf CAD files for CNC routing an early Telecaster Neck on the tdppri.com "Tele home depot" forum. This included drill jigs for the truss rod in 2d dxf format. This is my 3d variation of Ed's headstock truss rod drill jig. Ed would bolt this to the neck using the 1st and 6th tuning peg holes. However this assumes you are using Ed's original neck cad file and it is unlikely to match up with all headstock layouts. Not a big issue as you can easily clamp the jig to the headstock. In any case, having this jig in OpenSCAD format allows it to be easily altered for many other neck configurations. More than likely you will print two of these jigs, one for the truss diameter and another for the size of the truss rod fixing nut. You will have to edit the file if you desire to alter the angle and position of the hole.
