The Teleavia Matrix is a stunning full-color video monitor that showcases 512 vibrant LEDs, skillfully controlled by Processing and driven by FadeCandy. This magnificent display pays homage to the Art Deco masterpiece, the Teleavia Panoramic 111, a breathtaking French television set released in 1957. The Panoramic 111 boasted an impressive 819 lines of resolution, which would be considered high definition even today. As a work in progress, please refer to the Instructions notes before downloading and printing. I've always been fascinated by infinity mirrors, so I decided to push the boundaries by creating one that displays video on a "floating" LED matrix while maintaining an elegant appearance. The monitor cleverly encloses a custom-cut mirror and two-way glass to produce the mesmerizing infinity mirror effect around the matrix, resulting in a screen that appears to float effortlessly in space. Feel free to use it to display captivating photos, videos, or even run your own Processing sketches. This design was carefully modeled to accommodate a 32x16 NeoPixel LED Matrix and a NeoPixel LED strip. The 32x16, 512 LED NeoPixel Matrix is efficiently driven by a single FadeCandy board, while the NeoPixel strip is skillfully controlled by an Arduino UNO. The cabinet features countersunk mounting holes for an Arduino UNO and Raspberry Pi Model B (Model B 2), making it easy to integrate these components. In fact, the monitor can be entirely powered by a Raspberry Pi and FadeCandy. This design incorporates printable snap pegs for seamless assembly. The monitor can rotate a total of 120 degrees to ensure optimal viewing comfort from any angle. To clarify, the "monitor" shown in the photos was temporarily constructed using cardboard and hot glue. Your printed monitor will provide the necessary components and alignments for the glass panels, matrix, and NeoPixel strip, resulting in a sleeker look with perfectly aligned LEDs.
