SCENE INFORMATION The scene covers an area of 50 by 50 kilometers in size. This model relies on OpenStreetMap (OSM) data for its content. The scene was prepared specifically for use within the popular computer graphics software 3ds Max, as well as V-Ray Next. The images that were used to showcase this model's appearance were all rendered using the V-Ray Next rendering engine. While it is technically possible to use older versions of V-Ray, the results may vary and are not guaranteed to be satisfactory. In terms of preview images, they were generated by running render outputs through various visual processing filters. DISCLAIMER The primary intended software platform for utilizing this model is indeed 3ds Max, in conjunction with the powerful rendering engine V-Ray Next. Materials used within the scene have all been carefully crafted as genuine V-Ray materials. Furthermore, lighting within the scene was also generated using authentic V-Ray light settings and sources. GEOMETRY To minimize visual redundancy and optimize load times for users who access this 3ds Max model, we made a deliberate decision to collapse its stack. This allowed us not only to reduce its complexity but also organize individual components neatly onto separate layers named accordingly. Some details have indeed been intentionally left out – those involving smaller homes or other buildings are cases in point. When importing relevant OSM data for the model itself, sometimes these pieces of information failed to appear correctly, which is unfortunate. Not every notable landmark has its entire 3D rendition preserved here; only portions obtained directly from imported OSM sources could make it into our design, which unfortunately results in some inaccuracies regarding specific details. Moreover, when observing certain elements (like tree clusters), note that no precise elevation information was applied. Trees included: a total polycount of approximately one million, and 539 thousand vertices combined. Upon inspecting these virtual forests as components of the scenery within the software tool mentioned earlier – each will take the shape of a straightforward rectangular box object within respective properties listings set accordingly in such context for now. Everything that has been generated according to specific plan or otherwise related details regarding structure placed above level of standard plane present starting at points (0,0,0) – note that actual 'plane' is being kept aside here. MATERIALS Each item used here within the scenery employs various VRay materials with unique appearance set through carefully defined maps provided as part separate downloadable archive available for further examination. For models utilized in creating above images none have undergone unwrapping and so are instead applying a pre-existing uv mapping system through use UVW modifier tools applied beforehand for consistency. LIGHT SETUP One prominent sun source – part integrated standard 3d scene lighting – used in these virtual renderings combined along standard 'skies'. A primary tool involved for production tasks such rendering linear output according specified standards workflow mentioned previously always considered default. FORMAT File type compatibility primarily with 2017 or back-supported to Max compatible version as of 2020, then also .fbx and other relevant formats applied – further technical documentation accessible at support pages online when you have additional inquiries about file conversions involved during import process etc.
