Tektronix 576 Curve Tracer Camera Hood
thingiverse
The Tektronix 576 curve tracer remains a beloved workhorse in electronics labs today, despite the fact that the last one was manufactured back in 1990. Originally, a Polaroid camera equipped with a special fixture was used to capture photos of the CRT screen. Remarkably, those Polaroid cameras continued to be used for decades after the invention of the digital camera. Nowadays, most people snap a picture of the screen using their mobile phone, but unfortunately, the results are often disappointing. The photos display artifacts from the room lighting, and even worse, a reflection of the phone and photographer in the screen. This camera hood hangs on the upper lip of the Tektronix 576 screen and blocks all reflections. Consequently, the resulting photos taken with the mobile phone's camera often look better than those captured by the original Polaroid camera. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I have successfully printed this in both PLA and ABS, but I recommend using PLA because ABS required an enclosure to avoid warping.
