Tektronix 2445A Hood
thingiverse
I received a Tek2445A from afriend. I do not use it very often, so it is dust-covered after a while. Protective hoods for tek scopes are extraordinary expensive (i.e.ebay) and only have cover functionality. So I designed an own hood which is able to collect all the required probes and other accessories. It consists out of two larger parts, the hood and the lid. The washers (brass) and pin lock (POM) were made on a lathe, however can be printed as well. The pin lock is held up with a old ballpen spring and locked with a M2x12 screw. Four M3x10 countersunk bolts hold the washers. In principle this can be printed as one part, but did not want to jeopardise the long-time print with undesireable results. Printer was Ender5-plus. The challenge is, as always with bigger solid parts, to avoid warpage and lift off around the corners. I used polyimide (Kapton) tape on the regular heated glass-bed to achieve that. In the picture the name of my late friend is inside, the STL-file contains "Tektronix".
