I needed special adapters for my Tektro disc brakes because the Shimano brake fluid syringe and top-off cup require them, unlike Shimano disc brakes. Not having these, I had to make my own, which worked surprisingly well in the end. If you have a Shimano bleed kit, you can use the "upper" version of the adapter for the top-off cup.
