TEKTONIC 2 - Mid Drive System I've been pouring my heart and soul into this bike for the past two years, fine-tuning three prototypes before arriving at this masterpiece. This powerhouse of a bike packs a serious punch, thanks to its 3KW brushless motor. It can reach speeds of up to 40mph, making it my go-to daily commuter that's proven itself to be incredibly reliable. Before you start building your own TEKTONIC 2, make sure to check out your local regulations regarding e-bikes - do some research and get informed! One of the key benefits of this mid-drive system is that it links the motor directly to your rear gears. This allows you to tackle steep hills or speed down mountains without putting excessive strain on the motor, giving you a thrilling ride experience similar to what you'd expect from a motorcycle. Thanks to the ingenious freewheel mechanism, I'm able to pedal effortlessly without engaging the gearbox - it's a game-changer! Keep in mind that every bike has its unique geometry, so this build is specifically designed for Boardman comp large size frames.
