This is a custom mount for the Tekonsha P3 trailer brake controller designed specifically for the Gen 5 Toyota 4Runner. The mount takes advantage of an empty button blank on the dashboard, eliminating the need for drilling into the dash. Required Mounting Parts: - Two M4 bolts with lengths of 45mm (40mm may be sufficient) - Two M4 nylon lock nuts Preparation is essential to ensure a smooth installation process. Begin by verifying that the mounting bolts fit snugly into the holes on the printed parts, taking note that slight expansion may be necessary depending on your printer settings. Installation Steps: 1. Remove the button blank from the standalone button located on the left side of the driver's dashboard. 2. Insert the Through Block part into the opening in the dash. 3. Thread the two bolts through the Front Bracket V2 part and then through the holes in the Through Block part. 4. Secure the Back Plate part to the mount by inserting the M4 nylon lock nuts into their respective openings. 5. Install the Back Plate from the rear of the dashboard, taking care not to overtighten, which may damage the mount or the dash. 6. Gently tighten the bolts to secure the mount firmly to the dashboard. 7. Attach the controller to the mount using the existing mounting bolts and connect the wiring harness.
