TEK P6302 LPJ

Several months ago, I acquired a Current Amplifier Tektronix AM-503 without the probe. After considerable mental effort, I decided to construct one current probe due to the exorbitant prices listed on eBay. It consists of a small ferrite core, C & I shapes with 50 turns of 32AWG wire for AC sensing and an Hall Effect linear mode device for DC. The electronics are satisfactory, but replicating the mechanics proved challenging. To overcome this difficulty, I redesigned everything in two ways. Firstly, I created a clamp design compatible with C-cores and A-clamps. Secondly, I designed a slider version, similar to the original but simpler. For this design, the C-core is housed in the bottom part along with electronics and connections, while the I-core resides in the top part. A small steel spring (6mm diameter) separates them, and a cable (7x22 AWG) passes through the back part before being secured by a small grip and cover. The drawings are self-explanatory. This assembly was created using Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/k1sHL16tzpD
