Teflon Filament Frame Guide Prusa i3 mk3
thingiverse
Filament guide for the Prusa i3 mk3's top frame. The open design at the top serves a purpose. Once the carriage rises far enough, the extruder itself provides sufficient guidance for the filament, allowing it to exit the guide on its own. You might need to use a file to smooth out the top and bottom surfaces of the part, ensuring a snug fit within the frame. Edit 2019/02/08 Version 2 A revised version of this guide has been added, utilizing a teflon tube to minimize friction. To implement this design, you will require a short section of 6mm teflon tubing. Cut out a v-shaped piece using a utility knife, allowing the filament to freely exit the guide as the extruder reaches its upper limit.
