Teeter Totter Educational Aid
myminifactory
I designed an interactive learning tool, a teeter totter, where the pivot point can be adjusted freely. It's perfect for demonstrating to students how mass and distance affect moments in physics, as shown by the equation M = F * D. As distance increases, the force needed to produce the same moment decreases proportionally. This educational aid is specifically designed for elementary school students. I built all of these objects using FreeCAD. The total weight of this object is 47 grams. Based on an assumption that PLA material costs $20 USD per kilogram, producing this object would cost approximately $0.94 USD. A comparable object from EA Education can be purchased for $3.29, which represents more than a 60% reduction in cost.
