Teensy StreamDeck (Mini Macro Keyboard)
thingiverse
### What Drives Another Project? This is yet another attempt at creating a Macro Keyboard / Stream Deck! There are plenty of awesome designs available and many on Thingiverse, but none that were _exactly_ what I was looking for in a macro keyboard. The general design for the Teensy StreamDeck is loosely inspired by the Whitefox, and a heavy emphasis was placed on documentation, as many of the other options out there fall slightly short when it comes to putting everything together. ### Comprehensive Documentation Everything is thoroughly documented here in this folder: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Na3RjHtBOCitDZwfjoc90pLcIVmubAuV. This includes firmware, assembly instructions, and more. ### Essential Components Here is the bill of materials used in the test assembly of this project: https://drive.google.com/open?id=18cfa5kyl195EPuyGcH9c5VwrFNggF4XiA4nnyc71-GQ. You'll need a Teensy 2.0, MX keys, keycaps, wire, and diodes to get started. ### Step-by-Step Assembly Guide The assembly instructions have been collated in a comprehensive guide here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eEm7w74AV7i_R-8l4vJMpKATBqZhWlPPabOLG3hiTHI. This includes soldering, physical assembly, and loading firmware, all based on the QMK platform for maximum customization. ### Cost-Benefit Analysis Not counting filament and time, the Teensy StreamDeck should cost approximately $40 to build, a significant savings compared to some $120 offerings on the market today.
