Humans commonly use a tee to join two or more pipes together at different points in the pipe network. A tee typically connects the end of one pipe to the side outlet of another pipe via a lateral opening on each of its main sides. Most often, tees have a threaded male fitting connected by means of thread sockets at the socket head side, or an opposing connection of threaded ends opposite. A standard tee features two openings - at 90° - both pointing toward a straight continuation line; they may also come in configurations that feature all female threading on one pipe while opposing solvents connect to both headers at various points.
