Teddy Bear Collection
grabcad
Lately, there's been a lot of talk about the differences between solid modeling kernels. Thought I'd share one of my favorite tests with you all: the teddy bear round test. Included are rounds from recent builds of ACIS and Parasolid, AutoCAD, Pro/E, v5, and Ascon. This one has 2" long legs and a 1" round. Apologies to everyone working in metric. I would love to see more added. SAT and STP formats of the unrounded version are available for your experimentation. In particular, I'd love to see added: * OpenCascade * Pro/E circa 1999. They now seem to have copied Parasolid, but it used to be more interesting. * ACIS circa 1999. Used to be a procedural Gregory patch, which was more interesting * SMLib * Or anything else. Just upload a convenient neutral format (like STP) and I'll keep the models aggregated.
