Teddy Bear

My students created a delightful little teddy bear model using one of their own designs.\n\nAs part of my high school geometry class, we employed openSCAD and the MakerBot as a means to introduce the z-axis; teach basic code; and reinforce the concepts of intersection, union, and rigid transformations. We devoted two class periods to learning openSCAD, after which they had two weeks outside of class to bring their creations to life.
