Ted v3.0 HobbyKing Paramotor Gondola
thingiverse
This is the Ted v3.0 gondola for the HobbyKing parafoil! The latest revision delivers outstanding flight characteristics - extremely stable, minimal axial wobble, excellent control and the option to mount a third servo to command the A lines for incredibly fast flight! Developed from scratch by me with assistance from Ferna at the Aeromodelismo Club in Nerja, Spain. They fly exceptionally well! Wingovers and even loops are achievable. The stability is remarkable. Paramotor R/C is truly amazing. Sergio obtained one and created a YouTube video: https://youtu.be/0ERbeJlno7w The Parafoil alone is available from HobbyKing: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-high-performance-paramotor-pnf-2250mm.html?affiliate_code=NEOAVKJQUACROIF&_asc=1449458729 ...and they also offer a PNF version: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-high-performance-paramotor-pnf-2250mm.html?affiliate_code=NEOAVKJQUACROIF&_asc=7098577282 A significant amount of inspiration was drawn from Tucker Gott, who has an excellent YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/J3Cub2009 The parts are compatible with a printer featuring a 220x220 printbed. I utilized an ANET A8. You will require 4x guardring parts for the prop protector hoop and 8x strut to support it. Only one hub is necessary - there are two .STL files available in case you have different motor hole spacings. To assemble the components, I used hot-melt glue; however, you can use screws if you prefer. The all-up-weight of mine is 1700g. I added lead weights to achieve this weight, so you should do the same. Paramotors do not fly well when they are underweight, and sometimes they may not fly at all.
