Tectonic Hex Game

Tectonic Hex Game

thingiverse

During the 2014 Global Game Jam, a game was created featuring basic and advanced pieces for printing. Each player requires a character piece, inspired by the theme "We don't see things the way they are, we see things the way we are". The game is a turn-based strategy with players aiming to traverse three tectonic hex of their own color to win. Players take turns adding pieces until each has two on the board, then place character pieces on their own tectonic hex plates. On subsequent turns, players can add a piece, move a piece, move their player or swap out another player's piece for one of their own. A teleportation feature is included using a konami code piece. Detailed rules involve each player having a pile of tectonic plates, a teleporter piece with the konami code, and a character piece to mark their location on the board. Optional markers can be used to signify moves and swaps. Specific rules apply for moving pieces, moving players, swapping pieces, adding pieces and teleportation.
