Techzone Huxley LM6UU X-Carriage - larger hotend hole
thingiverse
This work-in-progress X-carriage modifies DeuxVis' Techzone Huxley LM6UU X-Carriage and uses slim bearing holders from Simon Kuehling. The original carriage design and holder placement were done by DeuxVis, while the user only adjusted dimensions to suit their needs. The modified carriage now has a larger hole for easier hot end installation. It uses a J-head nozzle Mark IVb held by the original TechZone clamp and doesn't need additional support. Updated pictures have been posted, and PLA bushings and 6mm bearing holders have been printed. The user is still searching for reasonably priced 1/4" bearings and is considering switching to 6 mm smooth rods and bearings. OpenSCAD modifications are provided with instructions on how to make changes. Original code remains commented out, and a thicker wall design has been implemented to ensure holder strength after issues were noted with the original 8mm bearing holders. Updated STL files will be uploaded soon.
