This is a custom-made caliper adapter designed to make it easier for individuals with hand mobility issues to use their callipers. The adapter was created specifically for a patient who has lost his thumb, allowing him to grip the device more securely. To enhance usability, the adapter thickens the movable frame of the calliper, making it simpler for users to manipulate the device. It is positioned inside the thumb lever and attached to the upper part of the movable frame. Since different calipers have unique shapes, the adapter design needs to be tailored to fit each specific model. This innovative solution was developed by the Mutual de Seguridad C.Ch.C from Chile, in collaboration with their innovation and development team, along with the Neuro rehabilitation institute.
