Technic-Compatible Padded Legs

I designed these parts specifically for my Makeblock Constructor, but they can also be used as Lego Technic components to support your next robot project. Instructions You'll need to assemble four layers of 1/8" plywood around a 1/4" nut. The center two layers feature hex cutouts that will secure the nut in place, while the top and bottom layers have smaller circular holes for screws. Use wood glue to join these layers together, ensuring the nut is already positioned before the glue sets. Once assembled, add #4 x 0.75" screws to the smaller holes on top and bottom for added support. You can remove these screws later if you choose or leave them in place for extra reinforcement. The next step involves attaching the triangular brace to the back piece. In the instructions, I used a single piece of wood for clarity, but it's recommended that you use two pieces joined together. Apply glue and clamp them firmly until they become solid. Then attach the triangular part. Afterwards, slide the bottom piece into the back frame. Be gentle when inserting it to avoid any damage. Apply a thin layer of glue around all cracks. When the glue has dried, you can proceed to paint the legs using ordinary spray paint. Lastly, attach the furniture pads. These are specifically designed with 1/4" threaded connectors and were relatively inexpensive at $4 each from Home Depot.
