A measuring tool for wood, known as a tear meter or Reißmeter, typically consists of a wooden bar with various parts attached. One side features a screw, while the other has a holder for a chalk marker, such as the OREGON Signierkreide, or a chalk holder pen available from Kox. To assemble this tool, several additional components are required: a 20x20 mm wood bar, a few screws, and a piece of chalk, specifically the Signierkreide. During assembly, holes must be drilled to secure the various parts in place.
