I wanted to create a custom RGB-led-light that I can hang next to my office door that shows my current status in Microsoft Teams to my little daughter. The idea of the design came from the excellent [Neopixel cube for 16 pixel ring by tblum](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4296998), but it didn't fit the parts I wanted to use, so I ended up creating a similar design from scratch. I'm writing a blogpost about the required software and hardware parts over on my [Home-automation blog](https://www.progz.nl/blog). It will be up there shortly.
