I want to create a custom RGB LED light that I can hang next to my office door, showcasing my current status in Microsoft Teams for my little daughter's benefit. The idea of the design came from the excellent Neopixel cube for 16-pixel ring by tblum, but it didn't fit the parts I had in mind, so I ended up creating a similar design from scratch. I'm writing a blog post about the required software and hardware components on my Home-automation blog. It will be live there shortly.
