Team Rocket's Ventilator
grabcad
Project Overview:To grasp our CAD model's intricacies, it's essential to understand the limitations imposed by Solidworks. The inability to simulate deflation and inflation within the software necessitates a clear explanation. When the lever arm is situated inside the bag, it's apparent that the bag would be deflated, with air escaping. Conversely, as the shorter end of the cam rotates, it creates space for the right-hand side of the lever arm to descend, allowing the bag to reflate. Manufacturing Process:• A DC motor will be procured from an external source.• The oxygen ventilator bottle will also be sourced externally.• Remaining components will be 3D printed.Material Selection: • A high-torque DC motor with a 12V rating and 208RPM is selected, boasting a strong load capacity of 10 Ncm torque, optimal at both low and high RPMs. This motor retails for approximately $16.• The AMBU bag, priced at around $16, will be utilized for its specific functionality.• For 3D printing, Priline Polycarbonate filament is chosen due to its exceptional structural integrity and dimensional stability. This material costs around $50.
