Tealight holder: Hot air balloon

Tealight holder: Hot air balloon

cults3d

My daughter wanted a hot air balloon, so I made her one. I designed this in Blender and Tinkercad. The basket is very useful because it can be used both as a tealight holder (the ones with batteries since the "natural" ones wld cause a crash) and a place where your Lego figures can go for a ride high up in the sky (even Superman needs to rest sometimes). I printed the balloon at 0.25 resolution in PLA. The basket is printed in wood filament at 0.2 resolution. You can use yarn, chain or whatever you have at hand to attach the balloon to the basket. I used a chain for necklaces. The balloon took me 8 hours to print at slow speed (I prefer to print slow), the basket around 3 hours. There´s no need for support. I used raft on the balloon.
