Teal Drone Radiosonde Mount

Teal Drone Radiosonde Mount

This is my entry for the Teal Drone cover challenge. The aim was to add a small tray on top with slots for a strap on the sides, allowing it to hold various sizes of weather radiosondes. This modification would enable anyone with the modified drone and a functioning radiosonde and receiver to fly their drone to any location and use the sensors on the radiosonde to collect data on anything they want to measure. If used instead of weather balloons, this could mean much faster measurements and retrieval of the radiosonde because the drone can be flown to wherever needed and simply returned once the measurements are made. Unfortunately, as a result of the propellers on the drone disturbing the surrounding air, it is likely that it cannot be used to measure wind speed or other data points affected by air movement. However, temperature, humidity, air pressure, and many other things can still be conveniently measured with this setup.
