Teaching Microscope - V2
thingiverse
The next-gen low-cost teaching microscope is designed for student use, costing $0.40-$3.50 per unit depending on chosen lenses. Improvements include a 3D printed lens holder to keep fingers off, snap-together design, and fewer parts without requiring a dowel. It can use disposable camera lenses or higher-quality ones in bulk. Instructions are available in a video, with slight differences such as removing the lock-ring and adding a clip for focus axle. Chinese lenses from GS Optics (lens 2826) provide 100X magnification, or use disposable camera lenses with a 3mm objective opening held by super glue on the edge.
