This project is a personal evolution inspired by the wonderful Atlas made by AndrewSink @ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:911104Sometimes we feel we are carrying the whole world on our shoulders.I think Atlas is perhaps the most iconic character we all can feel close to.In the stl there were many "over" overhangs, meaning that without supports, on his back for example (try slicing the original one), slicing would cause objects appearing from thin air.So I adjusted those critical points. My goal was to tryout my elegoo Neptune4 Plus, once I've redesigned it from the core. Great machine.. now. With both Atlas and the pillar I experimented 90 degrees overhangs. Everything you see was made without supports.I thought that it would have been great to create a box which was part of a gift itself. So I made an (almost) fully parametric pillar in openSCAD and finally, in Blender, opened a space inside of it for the Atlas to fit in upside down.Purple column, luminescent Atlas.Enjoy,DanNotice: This project combines an OpenSCAD script I wrote with a model from another Thingiverse contributor. It was created as a non-commercial gift and remains non-commercial. Free to download and use for personal purposes only. Licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 — please respect the license.
