Tea Light Menorah

Knowing that Hanukkah begins this week, I crafted a custom menorah utilizing tea lights. While not Jewish myself, I have many close friends who are, and I wanted to reach out with warm wishes: Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends! For those with concerns about heat and these candles, let's apply some science. In the last image, you can see a candle that has been burning for 45 minutes - it's completely melted down. The Fluke meter and temperature probe are used to measure the flame's intensity. The probe is positioned between the metal base and the holder, registering a temperature of 53C. Notably, PLA starts to transition from its solid state to glass at temperatures ranging from 60-65C. Fortunately, my candles from Ikea feature centered wicks, which ensures even burning. There was no deformation or damage to the candle throughout the test. Remember, Hanukkah candles are typically lit for 20 minutes; never leave an open flame unattended.
