I created a more compact version of Vik's tea bowl by truncating the flared upper body and enabling gripping by hollowing out a shallow cylinder from the kōdai to form a high pedestal. The version shown in the photograph is tea-bowl-rev2.stl, but it has been vertically stretched using slicing software. This vertical expansion is incorporated into tea-bowl-rev3.stl, along with an attempt at creating a rounded lip. However, this bowl still has some functional flaws: it lacks a concave chadamari, and the lip kuchitsukuri is not sufficiently round for comfortable drinking. I'm working to address these issues in future tea bowl designs by making adjustments as needed.
