TE Pocket Operator Shell

TE Pocket Operator Shell

The Pocket Operator is a pretty cool device in my opinion, lacking nothing but some type of button lock. To prevent accidental play, I made this shell to keep the PO from starting up in my pocket, which happens quite often. Since most sound comes out the back of the unit, I used the battery cover to direct it towards me instead. I printed parts with Excefil PLA, except for buttons that are Ninja Flex. The button plate is transparent PLA so LEDs shine through. Button_09 fit perfectly, but I added alternatives for you to try. Printing a batch of buttons gave better results due to heat distribution. You'll need to drill screw holes for the right diameter screws. I used 4x 2.5mm screws and nuts to hold it together. Some extra material around audio jacks needs cutting away. After that, some treatment with a file, exacto knife, and sandpaper got the perfect fit. **Update 2016-02-16: Redesigned battery cover for easier after-treatment. I had issues getting buttons to work with PLA non-flex material, so I redesigned "Front_shell", "Lid" and added new buttons. These have "PLA" in their file names if you're having trouble. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Salprint Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% Notes: 0.4 mm nozzle. Sliced with Cura default settings through Repetier host, using 10% support for the Battery cover and Top shell.
