TDA8954TH AMP FAN SHROUD

TDA8954TH AMP FAN SHROUD

This amp is a powerhouse, but it doesn't have a fan, so I decided to design a shroud to attach a 40mm fan to it. I used PLA with a 0.1 layer height and 100% infill. This is only my third design, and I'm still learning, so no laughing! But this fits my amp well and serves the purpose. I made the fan pull air through the fins and out the top. As far as power to the fan goes, you'll have to get that externally - there are no supporting power options on this board. There's only one transistor that switches up and down from 0 to 5 volts to run the mute/standby circuit, and it can't be overloaded or else your mute/stby circuit won't work and therefore you won't get any output, so you can't tap into it. I used a 12v Delta high-rpm fan to keep this beast cool while it's trying to eat my woofers! I raided my spare bolts bin for screws to fit it. The screws simply screw down between the fins, so don't tighten too tight - use 3mm diameter screws. You'll need to self-tap or drill the fan holes a little. The mounting holes are just right and don't need any drilling out - only the fan holes. I hope you find it useful!
