Based on EFSS 3D drawing found in Sketchup Library, published by Devil Dog 204, I reworked it in Sketchup and broke down into parts, simplifying wherever possible. Then I fixed problems in Microsoft 3D Builder, a very useful tool, and sectioned in Cura. This version is designed for towing configuration; I hope to create a firing configuration soon, along with the M1163 towing vehicle. The files are scaled at 1:76, which is my preferred working scale. After experimenting with different versions and settings, I found it difficult to print overall due to removing supports, so I decided to split it into three parts: wheels, barrel, base, and stowage. I also provide a version with a simple barrel and supporting pieces that can be glued on, but this is very fiddly. Some parts have been thickened to make them printable and usable, especially the wheel supporting rods. This model isn't 100% satisfactory, but it may serve as a starting point for others. Actually, it's rather better than the photos would suggest. My next step is to paint it! I added a photo showing the final version with the barrel and small bits beside it, along with an earlier version that highlights problems with support removal and fragility of 'to scale' wheel rod supports. Hopefully, the published STL files will resolve these issues.
