TBS Race Tracker Mod case
thingiverse
This is a custom-made case designed to replace the standard Case for the TBS race tracker. The primary goal was to relocate the antenna outside for improved connectivity. Additionally, I encountered issues with the unit freezing up, requiring me to let the battery drain before shutting down; therefore, I incorporated a switch to resolve this problem. Required Components: M3 bolts Mini latching push-button switch Roughly 2-inch wire (12-14 gauge) Amazon Product Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VBV4QH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Assembly Instructions: 1. Remove the electronics from the original case. 2. De-solder the hot wire from the board. 3. Solder roughly 2-inch wire to the board in place of the original hot lead from the battery, leaving the other end open for now. 4. Remove the shrink wrap from around the antenna and take it out. 5. Run the antenna lead through the top 3D-printed plate's second hole from the top right and then through the original bolt hole on the upper right side of the board; connect it to the pin on the board. 6. Pre-tin the switch blades, place them into the hole on the side of the bottom case, and start the plastic nut. 7. Solder the positive lead from the board and the positive lead from the battery to each opposing blade on the switch; this must be done inside the case with the switch installed, so be cautious not to burn yourself or the case. 8. Place the board into the case, ensuring it fits properly, then cover it and install two M3 bolts into the bottom two holes. 9. Place the antenna support over the antenna and install the remaining 2 M3 bolts.
