TBS Fusion module adapter for Skyzone Sky04X goggles

If you have a SkyZone Sky04X FPV goggle and want to add Team Blacksheep (TBS) Fusion video receiver module it will not fit without physical modification of the module bay. You would need to grind off some clips to be able to glide the module into place. If you are not willing to jeopardize the warranty and/or running the risk of damaging your precious goggles you may use my custom adapter. It should just click into the existing module bay and enable a bigger cavity for the Fusion module to sit in. You need 2 pieces of pin headers (shown in pictures). You need 9 pin variant with long pins. The short ones might not reach deep enough in the mating connector in the goggles. I have used following article number from RS Online site. I add a picture. It is approximately 8 mm tall on the plastic part and 5 mm on the pins. If you have a part with more pins you can cut it to right amount of pins. "Receptacle 2.54mm vertical 10way Artikelnummer:765-5745" As an assembly procedure I would recommend following: 1. insert module adapter into Skyzone goggle bay. Do it carefully so that the pins don't get bent. 2. insert 2 pin headers pushed together into 9-pin goggle connector, while aligning the top of them in the middle of the slot. 3. insert Fusion module carefully into its cavity so that the pins align properly. 4. mount the supplied Fusion cover and click it into place. You may need to adjust the module slightly so that the 5-way joystick can be used in all directions. General recommendation and disclosure: this is an adapter provided by me without any warranty or liability. Depending on 3D print material, process or quality it might turn out exactly as designed or differently. I cannot provide any warranty if in case of wrong print the module would fall out or some parts (like pins or screen, etc.) gets damaged upon handling. Use caution, check clearances, inspect mating parts and don't use force. If it doesn't fit on first attempt, investigate, adjust or even reprint from other material. Don't force your goggle or module, these are fragile electronic components.
