Because the gimbal on Thingiverse didn't fit my Chinese 2208 motors from AliExpress, I re-measured the gimbal and redrew one in SolidWorks. I made several changes, such as modifying the GoPro mount. I added a nice honeycomb mesh and thinned out some non-essential parts to shorten printing time. I raised the motor mount higher for extra strength and enlarged the hole for the motor for easy mounting. I kept important dimensions so that the GoPro remains balanced and snug during flight. Don't forget to secure the GoPro with a tie-wrap through the rubber balls, in case both parts separate in mid-air or due to a crash. I printed the gimbal with 0.2mm layer height and 10-20% infill. I'm not sure if it fits other models than the GoPro Hero 3/4. Make sure the scale is set at 100% and print the parts bottom-down, as shown in the images above.
