Taza de Té

Design Process To start with, I envisioned a sturdy and practical cup design that's ideal for brewing a perfect cup of tea every time. Initially, I set my sights on crafting a teacup of around 70mm in height, taking into account the space available on the printing surface while maintaining a manageable print time. With that in mind, I began selecting suitable settings. Firstly, I opted to utilize high-quality PLA filament that's explicitly designed for printing with food and drinks in mind, ensuring food safety from start to finish. After settling on this aspect, my next concern turned to minimizing the potential risks associated with hot liquids during use. As such, I specified using a material type specifically tailored to resist damage caused by scalding temperatures. Moving right along, the print settings came into focus: 1. Raft generation - Since support is vital for precise placement and minimal structural weakness at the base, I made it compulsory by opting for "Yes". With that out of the way, moving forward towards printing seemed much clearer in mind. 2. Supports - The supports are necessary during print due to various angles, corners etc where the part can collapse under the extruded plastic, especially so when a vertical surface is involved, as a tea cup might very well present this situation. This necessitated a firm choice in the affirmative. 3. Resolution (layer height) – In pursuit of smooth and accurate printing quality with a good finish at such small scales I fixed on 0.3 mm being more than adequate under given circumstances. 4. Infill percentage: With no need for elaborate detailing and only necessary internal structure to prevent excessive voids that could pose problems later when filled with contents like liquid tea -100% infill became the norm for all of these elements where necessary; ensuring solid strength overall while keeping an emphasis on printing as simply & rapidly possible under those specific requirements. I aimed for producing this tea cup by carefully selecting every parameter from its base material, size, support structures to its actual design parameters, which helped make a seamless product from concept development until creation – resulting in one perfect model ready at users hands whenever required without much of an effort left unspoken about once done following guidelines outlined clearly so we should all agree that's quite enough
