Initially, one obstacle encountered is that due to its shorter stature, the fan shroud crashes into the bed finger farthest from the origin point during printing, typically an infrequent occurrence since prints rarely take place in this area. The proposed solution includes a newly designed fan shroud suited for the modification in question, enabling directed airflow at the nozzle. It effectively resolves previous problems with crashing and now allows for up to 5-5.5 mm of vertical space when employing sequential printing techniques. The design leverages existing hardware by permitting reuse of M3 screws from the original fan shroud setup, obviating the need for thermal treatment or special attachment procedures due to their direct thread into plastic.
