TAZ 6 Y-axis Bearing holder and suggested bearings and shafts

I noted significant wear on my TAZ 6 printer's Y-axis bearings. I ordered replacement bearings from Amazon but also purchased components from McMaster-Carr, which offered high-quality hardened linear guide rods and Teflon plain bearings. To utilize these parts, I needed to design and print new bearing housings, requiring a few iterations before settling on a satisfactory design that I started printing in four units. It's interesting how the Prusa is busy manufacturing components for the TAZ, exactly as intended. I was also curious about the hardness of the rods supplied with the TAZ, which showed signs of scratches. Using the new rod to scratch the old and vice versa revealed the story: the new rods are hard, while the old ones are not. I will proceed with a full repair using McMaster parts, and I'm happy to do so. Although it will be more expensive, these printers are used to generate income, and they've paid for themselves nicely. I have included screenshots of the bearings and rods from the McMaster-Carr website (mcmaster.com). We recently completed a 12-hour print with the new bearings, and it was flawless.
