Taz 5 Dual Duct
thingiverse
My take on a dual-sided part cooling duct for the Lulzbot Taz 5. This design draws inspiration from the dual fan setup found on the Taz 6 and leverages existing hardware to effectively cool printed parts from both sides. There are other versions of this concept out there, but none print as easily as this design, which is why I created it in the first place! This duct prints in two halves without supports, and its friction-fit design ensures a secure connection without the need for fasteners or glue. It also boasts thicker walls (mostly 2mm) to facilitate easier printing and withstand the ambient heat of the hot-end. If you require the ability to adjust the height of the duct to accommodate different hot ends or Taz versions, I recommend checking out this remix here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1795035 Once printed, the design takes around two minutes to install on a Taz 5. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm layers Infill: 40% Notes: Brim lines: 10 Post-Printing: Remove brim, snap together!
