Tavor X95 Brass Deflector
thingiverse
This brass deflector assembly contains 2 pieces: the Base and the Deflector Add-on. The base replaces the OEM brass deflector on the Tavor X95, and the Add-on can be slid onto the base via a dovetail. The Base has roughly the same geometry as the OEM deflector, and thus will not change ejection pattern. The Deflector Add-on is the piece that will change the ejection pattern, and can be installed/uninstalled without tools. This allows new deflector geometries to be easily mounted in the future if you want to change the design. It also means that if the Deflector Add-on causes any reliability issue, you can quickly remove it in the field. This might be relevant since at the point of release, I have only put around 500 rds through the deflector, ~450rds of which are low powered PMC Bronze. But so far no issues.Installation instructions:Using a 9/64 Allen key, remove the screw that holds the OEM brass deflector in place. Remove the OEM brass deflector.Using the OEM screw, install the 3D printed Base. Use blue Loctite on the screw. The Base can be mounted to either the left or right side ejection port.If the ejection port is on the right side, mount the right handed version of the Deflector Add-on by sliding it onto the Base from the front. Push it all the way back until there is a click. If the ejection port is on the left side, mount the left handed version the same way.ATTENTION: Some filling might be needed to fit the pieces in place. When you file off material, make sure to NOT file off the retention features depicted in the photo above. These features allow the Deflector Add-on to securely snap into the Base.
