Tavern Tile 2 x 2

This is a 7/16 inch thick gaming tile. I offer it in two different scales. One is exactly 2x2 inches and the other is for OpenForge, which measures 50mm x 50mm - slightly smaller than 2x2. The 2x2 inch scale is equivalent to 50.8mm x 50.8mm. Please download and print the suitable file for your system. I personally use the 2x2 scale. This tile represents version 1.0, utilizing twelve copies of a single sculpted plank - created in Blender. The plank is rotated 180 degrees every other instance to avoid uniformity. Ideally, multiple sculpts of this plank would result in a more natural appearance; I'm working on this for v1.1, which will be released soon. Note: The photo shared was printed at .2 layers. I recommend using .1 layers if you don't mind the additional time involved. Painting Tips: Start with a base coat of "pure black" or a "warm black." The first two coats should be thinned to allow the paint to flow into the cracks between each plank, similar to a wash but not as thin as normal paint. If any paint accumulates in these gaps, use a stiff brush to remove it. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before applying a heavy dry brushing of Burnt Umber (2 oz, $1). You should be able to see both the burnt umber and black wood grain at this point. Let that layer dry, then apply a dry brushing of Terra Cotta (Americana) or an orangish-brown color. The tone should fall between Burnt Umber and Cocoa. I couldn't find Terra Cotta at my local craft store, so I created a mix by combining one drop each of burnt umber, cocoa, and burnt orange ($1). Finally, apply a super-light dry brushing of Americana Cocoa ($1) - Honey Brown also works well. That's it. These painting tips are largely based on information found at http://dmscraft.proboards.com/thread/2710/privy. I plan to incorporate this tile into my modular dungeon system: http://dmscraft.proboards.com/thread/3699/jennifers-dungeon-tile-system.
