To make them look, feel and work better print a bunch of these, and follow the steps in photos. I used a hot glue gun to secure a cap and wires inside and fill all the space inside caps. An adhesive such as T7000 might work nice as well. PLA and hot glue don't mix. PETG however softens when exposed to hot glue but remains elastic and keeps its shape. I scaled the box up along the longest dimension with 105% scale and they still fit kinda tight.
