The Tatra 815-7 8x8 is a robust army logistics vehicle produced by the Czech company Tatra since 2008. Recognizing the exceptional qualities of its T-815 chassis, Tatra decided to develop a new vehicle that could be transported by the widely used NATO transport aircraft C-130 Hercules. Tatra took advantage of the engines and transmissions from the 815-6 model and modified the T-815 chassis, creating a completely new cab that is lower, more durable, and easy to armor. This innovative design allows for improved transportation capabilities while maintaining the exceptional qualities of its predecessor. In 2004, a prototype of the 4x4 model was showcased at Eurosatory and other defense and security trade shows, followed by several other prototypes built ranging from 6x6 to 10x10. The all-metal cabin is tiltable, allowing for easy additional armoring in various degrees of ballistic protection. The Tatra 815-7 serves in the Czech Republic's Army and the Slovak Armed Forces, with its chassis being used to build several armored transporters, including the Czech VEGA 4x4, the Egyptian Fahd 300, the French Nexter Titus, the Israeli Wildcat APC, the Jordanian Al-Wahsh, the Nigerian Ara, and the United Arab Emirates Legion. Beyond military use, the Tatra 815-7 also finds applications in the civilian sector as a mobile crane or fire truck. The vehicle's fully detailed chassis, tires, and interior make it an ideal choice for various tasks. Production costs vary depending on features: $1,050,000 with faces (screws included) and $850,000 without.
